Olivia Knowles, MSc
Junior Research Associate
She plays a key role in the design and development of patient-centric real-world studies, contributing her experience in research design, analysis, interpretation and dissemination to help deliver meaningful insights for clients. She works closely with other members of the research and analytics teams to ensure studies are robust, engaging and grounded in the real experiences of patients.
Before joining Vitaccess, Olivia completed an MSc in Health Psychology at King’s College London, where her research explored mediational links between the menstrual cycle, diet quality and psychological stress in Irritable Bowel Disease, using real-world evidence and patient-reported outcomes. She also designed and led several other quantitative, qualitative and mixed method studies across patient groups including cancer and diabetic patients. Whilst working on these projects, Olivia gained in-depth knowledge surrounding real-world evidence and project processes, including material design, the production of report publications, data collection and in-depth data analyses.
Beyond academia, she has worked with a health tech start-up to develop and refine a psychoeducational platform for people with long-term conditions, applying psychological theory to improve user experience and engagement.
Olivia holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Bath and an MSc in Health Psychology from King’s College London.
Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, having completed a Hyrox event this year, and exploring new food and travel experiences. She recently spent five months travelling across Southeast Asia and is always planning her next adventure.
