Junior Research Associate

Issy is a Junior Research Associate at Vitaccess. 

She most recently completed an MSc in Health Psychology at University College London. She brings strong quantitative research skills, having conducted a complex analysis of cohort study data for her research project. The project examined the links between the Mediterranean diet, inflammatory biomarkers and cognitive decline in older adults. She is particularly interested in neurodegenerative diseases, nutrition and women’s health. 

 Prior to her MSc, she completed a BSc in Psychology at the University of Exeter, where she conducted a vignette study examining reproductive decision-making. She has first-hand experience in clinical environments, working as a vaccinator during the NHS’ COVID-19 response programme. She has also volunteered as a support worker for PANDAS, a charity that provides perinatal mental health support, giving her a deeper understanding of patient experiences outside of traditional clinical settings.  

 Outside of work, Issy loves travelling and staying active outdoors. She is always looking for new hiking trails and countries to visit. She also a keen musician, previously performing in soul and funk groups, but loves all genres!
