Fiona is Localization Quality Lead at Vitaccess.
She ensures that the content in our digital real-world evidence studies is inclusive, culturally appropriate, and accessible for patients throughout the world. Prior to Vitaccess, Fiona worked for major language service providers – both start-ups and multi-national organizations – specializing in linguistic validation. She brings over 10 years’ experience in translation project management, specializing in the linguistic validation of clinical outcome assessments.
Fiona has experience of overseeing both small- and large-scale translation projects, managing and training teams, and carrying out a broad range of project tasks, such as translatability assessments, paper-to-digital ePRO migration, desktop publishing of translations, and English-to-English adaptations.
She has a joint honors degree in German and Spanish from the University of Strathclyde, and has undertaken additional courses in proofreading with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.
Fiona is a dog lover. She has volunteered as a temporary boarder, looking after and providing a temporary home for trainee assistance dogs.
