Fiona Miller, BA

Localization Quality Lead

Fiona is Localization Quality Lead at Vitaccess. She ensures that the content in our digital real-world evidence studies is inclusive, culturally appropriate, and accessible for patients throughout the world. She contributes to maintaining our ISO 17100 certification in Localization and manages our quality check processes. Fiona has played an instrumental role in managing the localization of projects such as our MyRealWorld™ MG study. She has also channeled her love for proofreading into our study translations, checking for consistency in formatting and terminology, as well as contributing to editing proposals, website copy, and social media posts.
Prior to Vitaccess, Fiona worked for major language service providers – both start-ups and multi-national organizations – specializing in linguistic validation. She brings over 10 years’ experience in translation project management, specializing in the linguistic validation of clinical outcome assessments.
Fiona has experience of overseeing both small- and large-scale translation projects, managing and training teams, and carrying out a broad range of project tasks, such as translatability assessments, paper-to-digital ePRO migration, desktop publishing of translations, and English-to-English adaptations.
She has a joint honors degree in German and Spanish from the University of Strathclyde, and has undertaken additional courses in proofreading with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.
Fiona lives in central Scotland with her husband and two children. Outside of work, she enjoys discovering new parks, having dance parties with the kids, and trying new recipes.
