Charlene Cheong, MSc

Data Scientist

Charlene is a Data Scientist at Vitaccess.

She leads on all aspects of data management in relation to our patient-centered and real-world studies, including dataset setup, cleaning, analysis, and reporting. Charlene works closely with our Consulting and Technical Operations teams to ensure the timely and effective delivery of study results for our clients.

Prior to joining Vitaccess, Charlene developed experience in clinical research within the department of infectious diseases in a public hospital in Singapore where she was involved in clinical observational studies and clinical trials relating to dengue fever, HIV, COVID-19, and bacterial infections. She also brings academic research experience, having investigated leveraging machine learning methods to develop a novel non-invasive screening tool for metabolic associated fatty liver disease (MASLD) at Imperial College London.

She completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine (Honours) at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Neuroscience, and an MSc in Health Data Analytics & Machine Learning at Imperial College London.

Outside of work, Charlene enjoys reading, exploring new cafes and bakeries, pilates, and playing tennis.
