Helen is Chief Operating Officer at Vitaccess.
She is a pillar of the company, developing the team and our operations to support all of Vitaccess’ efforts. She is responsible for leading operations, people and culture, marketing, and localization. By building a happy, engaged team, Helen ensures our ability to deliver the best to clients.
Helen has substantial experience of managing international clinical and real-world evidence studies, across a range of indications, with particular expertise in language and localization services supporting clinical and outcomes research initiatives.
Before joining Vitaccess in 2017, she spent seven years in commercialization and outcomes research at a leading contract research organization, managing global language services. She developed her expertise in translation management software, linguistic validation, and cognitive debriefing, as well as management of electronic clinical outcome assessments and authors.
Prior to that, Helen worked as a freelance translator of academic publications and fiction, most notably a monograph on cultural identity and a novel based in ancient Sicily.
Helen has a Bachelor’s degree in French and Italian from Bristol University, a Master’s in European Literature and a DPhil in Italian, both from Oxford University. During her time at Oxford, Helen was Heath Harrison Teaching Fellow, responsible for teaching university-wide translation modules.
She is fluent in French and Italian.
Outside of work, Helen is busy with three under-fives. When she gets a moment, she heads for the countryside or to the theater.
