Chengyu is a Data Scientist at Vitaccess.
She applies her expertise in data science techniques to draw valuable insights from the datasets generated in our digital real-world evidence studies. During her time at Vitaccess, Chengyu has applied her analytical skills to a number of projects, exploring conditions such as transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia, cystic fibrosis, and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. Chengyu enjoys directing her passion for data science towards the public health industry.
Chengyu’s educational background is in statistical programming and methodologies. She holds an MSc in Statistical Science from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Statistics from the University of Glasgow. Chengyu’s MSc thesis explored anomaly detection in fast-moving consumer goods data, while her BSc thesis focused on developing a Bayesian multidimensional scaling algorithm in R. She is experienced in a number of statistical programming tools, including R, R Shiny, and SQL.
Chengyu is based in Slough – which she guesses may be most interesting for being the shooting location of the UK Office – and enjoys photography and video games when not in work.
