At Vitaccess, the QA Engineer is responsible for helping to develop and manage the quality of our applications. You will be working closely with the developers, testers, UI/UX and business analysts, to ensure our clients and patients groups get the high-quality applications they need.

As part of a small but enthusiastic team, you should be prepared to turn your hand to anything. We are looking for someone to really own quality assurance within Vitaccess across our platforms. We are a young company so we haven’t built up lots of legacy to maintain – this is your chance to take a green field and make it your own!

You will report directly to the Director of Technology and will not initially have a team locally as most testing is currently outsourced. It’s an exciting opportunity to implement new plans and processes, and you’ll relish the challenge!

  • Focus on mobile testing and understand the difference this brings, particularly in UI/UX and automation.

  • Testing development team code and products, documenting issues into a database and assigning appropriately to the development team, seeing through to resolution.

  • Producing high quality bug reports covering description, accurate reproduction steps and severity.

  • Lead automation testing – we have already started, but you’ll be key to gaining full value from this

  • Work with product managers to ensure new features and flows are tested.

  • Writing and executing test plans.

  • Executing new and regression tests.

  • Reproducing existing bugs.

  • Maintain good rapport with clients and colleagues to stay on top of any incoming changes that could affect features.

  • Work with stakeholders across development teams and consider options for implementing test automation.

  • Work alongside the Product and Engineering Leads to inform the development team on client reported issues.

  • Seek to improve the overall product with suggestions or improvements.

  • Coach and build a strong QA team to support the growth of the business and development work and products.

  • Review of all test scripts and architecture, analysing and presenting any risks associated with this.

You’ll definitely be good at making strong and effective working relationships with the different teams within the business. Combined with a high attention to detail and a desire to develop and release only the best products and apps.
