What a year it’s been!

The Vitaccess team is wrapping up an incredible year.

From cancer to rare diseases, Vitaccess is giving patients a voice. We want to thank every single one of them. Working with patients and the patient advocacy organisations has been a powerful journey of laughter and tears and we look forward to spending more time together as 2019 rolls out.

Two new ethics-approved apps launched in 2018 – myThalLog and CMT&Me, both hosted by our evidence generation digital platform MyRealWorld™. We look forward to their launch in more European countries in the early new year.

On our apps, patients can record their treatments and symptoms in the real world in real time. With a clinically-validated Knowledge feature, they can access real information about their diagnosis, treatments and support available. The platform can also offer a Community app module, enabling participants to make contact and offer support to each other.

Melanoma UK is a digital registry app that collects real world evidence from almost 400 registered and active users in the UK. Launched in 2017, it has seen the launch of its Community feature in 2018. Aggregated and anonymised real-time data is available for free to academic researchers and to industry through a subscription service.

myThalLog is an app sponsored by clinical stage company bluebird bio that is running an e-diary project in 5 countries to measure the time burden of transfusion-dependent beta-thalassemia on patients’ daily lives.

CMT&Me is a bespoke app designed for patients living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK and US. The international observational study is sponsored by Pharnext, a biopharmaceutical company that has recently announced positive topline results from its pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial (PLEO-CMT) evaluating two doses of PXT3003 compared to placebo during 15 months for the treatment of Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 1A disease (CMT1A).

The Vitaccess team tripled in size in 2018 and needed a much larger Christmas dinner table this festive season. New to the team this year are experts in HEOR Consulting, Data Science, Marketing & Communications, Senior Medical Writing and Business Analysis.

We all wish you very happy holidays and extend our warmest thanks to you for working with us this year.
