CMT&Me app FAQs - Known issues

HOW DO I ENTER MY DATE OF BIRTH?
Tap on the year, a menu then appears that allows you to scroll through the years quickly to find the year you were born. Tap Set when your date of birth is shown in black in the middle row, and then do the same for the month and day. Tap OK when you’re done.
HOW DO I CHANGE/RESET MY PASSWORD?
Tap on the profile icon (the head and shoulders image) at the top-right of the screen, then Change password. Please note, you can only do this from the mobile app and not from a desktop or laptop computer.
WHY ISN'T MY POSTCODE ACCEPTED?
Postcodes comprise two parts, separated by a single space. The following list shows the different permutations depending on where you live (L is a letter; N is a number):
LLNN NLL (e.g. OX23 9ZZ)
LLN NLL (e.g. SN9 3PP)
LNN NLL (e.g. B27 7ZP)
LN NLL (e.g. B6 5MY).
Check that you have a single space between the two parts, and that there are not extra spaces before or after each part.
We are carrying out further validation. Please contact us if you think a valid postcode is being rejected.
CAN I USE THE APP ON MORE THAN ONE DEVICE?
The CMT&Me app is optimised for use on smartphones only. If it helps, you could install the app on several smartphones and use the same log-in details for each of them.
CAN I USE A WINDOWS MOBILE DEVICE?
Unfortunately not. It has been widely reported that Microsoft is no longer looking to actively support the Windows Mobile operating system. Therefore we have chosen not to expend the significant extra resources that it would need to run the study app on that platform.
IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE FOR USING CMT&ME?
The app is currently available for adults 18+ only as different regulations would need to be put in place to make it accessible to under 18s/or able to be completed on their behalf by proxy (parent/caregiver/guardian).
However, we do log questions and interests like yours and share it with the sponsor so that they can consider such changes to study design for future roll-outs. If things do change, we will announce it here on our website or on our social media accounts
Currently there are no known issues.
The app icon will appear on the home screen of your device. Tap on the icon to begin. Note that you can install the app on more than one device and use the same login credentials on each device. You should also change the initial password you receive to one of your choosing.
